Manage your clients
Financial Cents is equipped with a client management feature that enables you to manage all your client information and communication in one place. Our client dashboard makes it easy to access client data, keep track of client activities and interactions.
You also have access to view the audit trail of interactions between your team and clients to ensure you stay on top of all client updates. Never miss any client email again with our email integration which provides you with a client-only email focused folder.
In order to have a client management system in place while using Jetpack Workflow you’ll have to buy a 3rd party CRM software.
“Streamlining Bookkeeping to leave room for more Advisory
I don’t have to chase clients nearly as much with their to-do lists and client portals set up. They can ask questions, and I can add accountability tasks for clients for them to be reminded automatically, and everything is pretty customizable – including the reminder emails.”

A more more comprehensive workflow software
Jetpack Workflow offers a good workflow software solution that helps accounting firms manage work and automate their workflows. You can track and view the status of tasks, know who is assigned to what and meet your client deadlines. It is good if you are looking for a software that offers you the basic functionality of a workflow management software.
On the other hand, Financial Cents takes it up a notch, we provide all the basic workflow features and a more powerful workflow automation tool. From tag automation which automatically changes the status of client work as your team works on them, to client tasks and request automation which helps you request additional information or document from your client and auto-remind them until they complete it, recurring work automation which automatically recreates tasks that you do on a regular basis, email triggered by tasks that automatically notify your clients when their project is complete, turn any email to a project, automate task dependencies and more. Making Financial Cents a more comprehensive workflow software.
“The business problem we are solving with Financial Cents is twofold. First, we are improving our internal communications. Second, we are ensuring that no project falls through the cracks.”

Manage everything in one place
As the name suggests, Jetpack Workflow, is a workflow software, the software’s primary focus is limited to workflow management, which means if you need any other feature you’ll have to use another app.
As an accounting practice management software Financial Cents enables you to manage more than just workflow by providing you with features such as client portal, document management, client management, time tracking, billing & invoicing, proposals & engagement letters, capacity planning, e-signature, QuickBooks integration, Zapier integration, SmartVault Integration, manage uncategorized transactions and many more.
“Overall, I can’t praise it [Financial Cents] enough. And I’m very picky about software. I’ve tried about 5 different client management software and this one is the best. It is pricier than others. However, if you take into account the 25 hours a month it saves me. Overall, it’s saving me money. IMO .. the features don’t compare with other CRMs for accountants.”

Use the power of AI
Our AI integration helps you create workflow templates within seconds for any client task or project you may have, even if they seem out of scope, making work easier for you. You can tweak and save ai-created workflow templates for future use within your firm.
You don’t have to spend minutes or hours when you want to send emails to clients or respond to their emails. Using AI inside Financial Cents, you can create client emails on the go.
The best part? You can save the email generated as a template inside Financial Cents, so you don’t have to generate them each time. Your team members can also have access to them and use them for client emails whenever they need to.
Jetpack Workflow doesn’t have an AI integrated feature at the moment.
“I love that it took little to no effort to understand, all of the intro videos were so helpful. They got me started on the right path. I love that it is like taking my brain and putting it into order. It helps me get/stay organized.”

Financial Cents vs Jetpack Workflow FAQs
While both tools help accounting and bookkeeping firms manage workflows, Jetpack Workflow is primarily focused on task management. This means you can manage your entire firm in one place without relying on third-party tools.
No, Jetpack Workflow doesn’t include a client portal. Financial Cents provides a secure, firm-branded client portal at no extra cost, allowing you to request documents, share files, and communicate with clients more efficiently.

Financial Cents goes further with advanced workflow automation, including automated client reminders, email notifications tied to task completion, task dependencies, and workflow templates (plus AI-generated templates). This ensures nothing falls through the cracks while saving your team hours of manual follow-up.
Yes. Jetpack Workflow is great for firms that only want basic task tracking. If your firm needs a more comprehensive solution, including client management, document storage, billing, time tracking, capacity planning, and integrated email, Financial Cents is the better option.
No. Financial Cents includes AI-powered workflow template creation and AI email drafting to help you save time and standardize communication. Jetpack Workflow doesn’t currently offer AI tools.
Jetpack Workflow starts at $30/user/month (billed annually). Financial Cents offers more flexible plans, starting at just $19/month for solo practitioners and $49/user/month for teams, with more features included out-of-the-box, like client portal, invoicing, and robust reporting.
Jetpack Workflow does not include native billing or invoicing features. If you want to bill clients, you’ll need to bill out of QuickBooks or use a separate app. Financial Cents, on the other hand, has built-in billing and invoicing capabilities. You can track time, create invoices directly from projects, and send them to clients without leaving the platform. This makes it easy to manage the full cycle of client work, from task tracking to getting paid all in one place.
Not fully. Jetpack Workflow doesn’t provide robust document management. Financial Cents, however, allows you to organize, store, and securely share client documents directly within the platform.
Financial Cents is designed as a collaboration platform for accounting, bookkeeping and tax firms, with features like client portal, in-app team chat, comments, and @mentions on tasks. Jetpack Workflow is limited to task comments, making collaboration less seamless.
Choose Jetpack Workflow if you only need a simple workflow tracking tool. Choose Financial Cents if you want an all-in-one practice management platform to manage workflows, clients, team collaboration, documents, billing, and reporting in one place.

Many of the other tools are poor at managing updates and bugs. Some use subcontracted developers, providing real client data samples. Others have suffered breaches without proper notifications.
Of the pre-built systems out there, I do think Financial Cents has a solid offering.
One of my top goals is to make the process easier for clients. Glad I made the switch!

If you’re not using this feature, I highly recommend it! Remembering to follow up with clients can be a serious bottleneck and I love how this solved that problem!
